Lake Dallas home explodes, 1 taken to hospital
Firefighters in Lake Dallas are fighting a fire that was believed to be caused by an explosion from within a house.
Firefighters are investigating after a Lake Dallas home caught fire and then exploded Thursday. The cause remains unknown.
A meteor exploded Tuesday morning north of Cleveland over Lake Erie. The American Meteor Society received hundreds reports of a visible meteor from the Eastern Shore of Maryland to Kentucky; it was widely visible across Pennsylvania, Illinois, Ohio, Michigan and western New York state, too.
Residents in multiple communities reported the boom was powerful enough to shake windows and startle pets. Experts explained the sound was a sonic boom created by the meteor traveling faster than the speed of sound.
