This is how I stand a pole up by myself. You really don’t need 2 people to do it safely. I like to stand the foot of the pole into the ground first as the first pivot point, then the pivot point changes to the bottom of the pole. What this does is distributes the weight to my advantage, also it will prevent the pole from slipping as this can be done on icy surfaces as well.
