For the first time ever, we demonstrated fully autonomous X-ray navigation in space! This experiment showed that pulsars – dense rotating stars that emanate radiation from their powerful magnetic fields much like a lighthouse – can be used to accurately determine the location of an object moving at thousands of miles per hour in space.
