We’ve been busy in the museum grounds with volunteers from North Pennines National Landscape, spreading seed rich green hay across our developing wildflower meadow. Using traditional raking methods inspired by Teesdale’s historic farming practices, the team spread the green hay that had been cut only a short time earlier from a donor site on the Demesnes in Barnard Castle.
