Aladdin is a one-eyed, senior who bears the scars from his days as a tripping horse in the Mexican rodeo circuit (I won’t explain it, you’ll have to google it.) He was rescued from the auction kill pen on his way to slaughter. If you put him side-by-side with some of our younger, unscarred, more classically handsome horses, you might find him lacking in movie star looks. I love it when Aladdin is feeling frisky. He has the prettiest prance! I just cannot imagine how anyone could look at this beautiful horse and think it would be entertaining to use him as a Mexican rodeo tripping horse. And, as if that wasn’t bad enough, when he was all used up, he got sent off to be slaughtered. I love that his spirit is intact even though his body shows a few scars.
